We now have a little baby boy!  Gavin Thomas McDonald was born 9/3 at 10:17pm.  He weighed 8lbs 14oz and measured 20.5 inches long.  We were admitted to the hospital on 9/2 at 7pm.  Labor was induced early 9/3 even though it turned out that Michele was having mild contractions.  Michele was fully dialted around 8pm 9/3 and tried all she could to have the baby.  The conditions were not in her favor and the doctor decided to have a c-section.  We went into surgery around 9:30pm and came out with a healthy baby.  I was able to introduce Gavin to the family and carried him to the nursery.  We spend the next few days recuperating in the hospital and arrived home on 9/6.

 It has been 1 week and Michele and Gavin are doing well.  Gavin had his first check-up yesterday and all was better than average!  Michele is moving around easier everyday.  She worked really hard and deserves some well earned relaxing time. We will continue to update the blog with our pictures and experiences.
